A beloved Chinese animation called Scissor Seven is coming back for its 4th season and avid fans of the donghua must have been joyous of this announcement since the series had been scheduled to return this January – an early treat as the New Year comes in.

Unexpectedly, Chinese anime fans had been surprised by the sudden announcement which was made by its production committee a few days ago, to be specific on December 29, 2022.
The announcement of Scissor Seven Season 4 (Wu Liuqi: Anying Suming) comes with a new trailer, a promo poster, and the revelation of its release date this January which gives the fans so much delight.
It’s been almost 2 years since the Scissor Seven Season 3 ended in 2021 and now, we are looking forward to what had been in store for all of us in the upcoming new season of the donghua as the story continues where it previously left off.
Synopsis
Wu Liuqi originally lived a carefree life on Xiaoji Island, but his identity remained a mystery because of amnesia. As an outsider arrives and recognizes Wu Liuqi, various conspiracies begin to envelop the Island. In order to protect his friends and their home, Wu Liuqi decides to return to Xuanwu to face his destiny.

For those who are new to this donghua, Scissor Seven was one of the Chinese anime that had been well-received in the West and had been streamed on platforms like Netflix. It is an action and comedy donghua that features assassins, martial arts, and amnesia as key elements and is narrated in a parodic style with insanely good animation.

Animation Studio & Release Date
