During the annual Tencent Video Animation conference on August 9, 2025, it was announced that the donghua adaptation of The King’s Avatar will be returning for a fourth season!
The news came as part of an incredible lineup of returning and new series, solidifying The King’s Avatar‘s place among the giants of Chinese animation. The conference also unveiled new seasons for other fan favorites like Stellar Transformations Season 7, Martial Universe Season 6, Renegade Immortal Movie 2, and Blades of the Guardians Season 2, proving that the future of donghua is brighter than ever.

The production of The King’s Avatar Season 4 will be helmed by Lingsanwu Animation, a studio known for their work on titles such as Memory of Chang’an and X&Y: Ai You’s Secret Room of Love. The series’ incredible success even led to a live-action adaptation in 2019, starring Chinese heartthrob Yang Yang as the legendary “God of War,” Ye Xiu.
