An adventure anime story that will bring the magical fantasy to life is coming in 2020 in the presence of Somali and the Forest Spirit. I am seriously excited for this anime since I am a big fan of fantasy-adventure genre in anime and I could feel the same vibes reverberating in its plot with some of my personal favorite anime – Made in Abyss, Castle in the Sky, Origin: Spirit of the Past, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Children of the Whales – all have very interesting world-setting that could spice up the excitement even more.

The upcoming Somali and the Forest Spirit anime or originally titled as Somari to Mori no Kamisama is based on Japanese fantasy manga of the same name by author Yako Gureishi. The manga was serialized online in Tokuma Shoten’s online manga magazine Web Comic Zenyon since April of 2015.
The announcement that the manga is getting an anime adaptation had been made on March 22, 2019, and was originally scheduled for release in October 2019. However, it was pushed back for the 2020 release.
Synopsis
The world is ruled by spirits, goblins, and all manner of strange creatures. Human beings are persecuted, to the very point of extinction. One day, a golem and a lone human girl meet. This is a record of the pair, one a member of a ruined race, the other a watchman of the forest. It tells of their travels together and of the bond between father and daughter.
