The first TV ad for Dimension W, an upcoming TV anime adaptation of Yuji Iwahara’s manga series of the same name has been released by Bandai Visual on Friday – November 6, 2015. Dimension W TV anime will premiere in January 2016 and is one of the highly anticipated anime series next year.
Funimation describes Dimension W story as follows:
In the year 2071, the world’s energy problems seem solved by a network of cross-dimensional electric-field inductors- “coils” -that extract energy from a seemingly infinite source. That source is the W dimension, a fourth plane that exists beyond the X, Y, and Z dimensions.
In this world, unofficial “illegal” coils harness powers that the police can’t hope to counter. Dealing with these coils is the job of coil-hating repo man Kyoma, whose run-in with the unique coil android Mira leads the two to form a reluctant partnership.
In addition, Dimension W theme song artists have been revealed too in this year’s 22nd issue of Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine. It was unveiled that STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION will perform the opening theme song titled “Genesis,” while Fo’xTails will perform “Contrast” which is the show’s ending theme song.
STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION is quite known for performing other anime’s theme song such as the opening theme for Gangsta.and the ending theme songs Beyond the Boundary, and Nobunaga The Fool. Meanwhile, Fo’xTails performed opening theme song for Junjō Romantica 3, as well as the second ending theme for Battle Spirits Burning Soul. Furthermore, they also performed the first ending theme song of Kuroko’s Basketballseason 3.
Dimension W anime adaptation is directed by Kanta Kamei at Studio 3Hzand Orange. Designing the characters of the upcoming show is Tokuyuki Matsutake, while serving as the story director is Shôtarô Suga.
