DanMachi Season 2 Revealed; Original Movie Announced

Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka translated as Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? or also known as DanMachi for short is one of the most popular anime title that aired in 2015. It was once called the successor of Sword Art Online, although it doesn’t reach the popularity and notoriety SAO, it still lived up as one of the well-known ‘player-trapped-in-online-game’ genre.

Just recently, author Fujino Omori and illustrator Suzuhito Yasuda’s light novel series will have its anime adaptation a second season on the way. In 2017, the series actually received a spin-off called Sword Oratoria as part of the spring lineup.

In line with the 5th anniversary of DanMachi light novel series, the anime is getting an original movie as well as the highly anticipated second season of the anime. Although, not much details had been revealed yet for DanMachi Season 2, a teaser visual for the anime movie had been posted on the anime’s official website.

The movie is titled Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka -Orion no Ya – (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Arrow of the Orion). It will be an original movie which is not taken from the novel, however the story is still written by the novel’s creator, Fujino Omori.

The news had been announced through a special promo video on YouTube last February 17.
