Bilibili, a prominent video-sharing platform in China, is preparing for the launch of its newest Chinese anime series, “Since I Wasn’t the Heroine.” Created and produced by Bilibili and animated by Liyu Culture, the series guarantees an exciting and action-packed adventure that will keep the audience at the edge of their seats.
What’s Since I Wasn’t the Heroine all about?
“Since I Wasn’t the Heroine” is based on a Chinese web novel of the same name by author Lan Aicao. The story follows Tang Ying, the only survivor of an attack on an important town on the northern border of Daqi Kingdom. Tang Ying sets out to the capital to take her father’s place after he was charged with collaborating with the enemy, only to uncover a web of mysteries and secrets surrounding her past and the kingdom’s history.
Fans of Bilibili’s Chinese anime lineup can expect a thrilling and immersive experience from Since I Wasn’t the Heroine which is also known in Chinese as Ta Bu Dang Nüzhu Hen Duonian.
Animation Studio & Release Date
The series is set to premiere on April 22, 2023, and is animated by Liyu Culture, the same production company behind “The Daily Life of the Immortal King Season 4“. This means viewers can expect similar quality and attention to detail in the animation.
