An anime adaptation for the supernatural light novel series “Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō” by Hinowa Kōzuki has been green-lit. The supernatural light novel which is known in English as Refined Daily Life at the Supernatural Entity Apartment was launched by Kōzuki in 2003. A manga adaptation for the series had been launched by Waka Miyama in 2011 which run in Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine.
Additional information about Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō anime will be announced on the next issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in April.
Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō Plot
The novels’ story centers on Yūshi Inaba, a 16-year-old boy whose parents died three years ago. He moved into his uncle’s house, but resolved to move into a dormitory in high school. Those plans were dashed when that dormitory burned down. He eventually finds an apartment with cheap 25,000-yen (about US$220) rent. Yūshi finds out too late that the apartment is home to supernatural creatures such as ghosts, yōkai, and mononoke, and his daily life becomes embroiled in the eccentric apartment.
