The anime adaptation of Boku dake ga Inai Machi is now leading the winter 2016 line-up when it comes to popularity and critical reception. Also known as ERASED, the anime has been on the top spot of the season for several consecutive weeks with its mesmerizing mystery drama and romantic story. Now, the anime inspired an upcoming live-action film which is slated to open in Japanese theaters on March 19, 2016; coincides with the ending of both the manga and anime version of Boku dake ga Inai Machi.
The live-action film is based on Boku dake ga Inai Machi (The Town Where Only I Am Missing) manga by Kei Sanbe. The behind-the-scenesvideo for the ERASED live-action film were posted by animeanime.jp on Monday – February 15, 2016. The video shows Tatsuya Fujiwara playing Satoru Fujinuma (the main protagonist) is discussing with the director Yūichirō Hirakawa how his character should react to discovering his mother’s body.
Boku dake ga Inai Machi Story
The manga’s story follows Satoru, a struggling manga artist who has the ability to turn back time and prevent deaths. When his mother is killed he turns back time to solve the mystery, but ends up back in elementary school, just before the disappearance of his classmate Kayo.
