Prince of Stride Alternative is an upcoming anime series that will premiere in January 2016; it is the anime adaptation of Kadokawa’s Prince of Stride otome game. Prince of Stride Alternativewill premiere on January 5 on several TV stations in Japan such as Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, BS11, TV Aichi, and Sun TV.
A promotional video for the upcoming anime has been posted on the show’s official website. The new Prince of Stride Alternative promo video introduces the main characters of the series and it features the opening theme song “Strider’s High” performed by OxT.
Nana: A sound reverberates from two palms. Without a doubt, it signals a perfect relay. Why can I believe in this meeting? The thoughts connect and become the wind. That is the Stride of Hōnan Academy that I admire.
Riku: I’m Riku Yagami. Leave it to me! I’m good at any sport!
Takeru: I’m Takeru Fujiwara. We came to Hōnan to do Stride.
Hozumi: I’m Hozumi Kohinata, a second year. Pleased to meet you. I’m sorry, but we don’t have the numbers to compete.
Heath: I’m the Stride club president, Heath Hasekura. Your destiny’s just begun.
Ayumu: I’m Ayumu Kadowaki, a second year. Kadowaki, a mere promoted pawn and benchwarmer, and president of the shogi club.
Kyosuke: I don’t have it in me to do Stride anymore.
Nana: I’m Nana Sakurai. I’m sure there are a lot of people like me who love Stride!

Prince of Stride Alternative Story
The original game revolves around “Stride,” an extreme sport that involves six people on one team who run relay races through towns. Hōnan Academy and other schools compete to win eastern Japan’s top Stride competition, “End of Summer.”
The series revolves around a closed-down “Stride” club at Hōnan Academy. First-year high school students Takeru Fujiwara and Nana Sakurai attempt to restart the club, but they must recruit six members for the team. They ask Riku Yagami to join, but he turns them down by saying that Stride is the one thing he doesn’t want to do. However, Takeru and Nana drag Riku into the clubroom to try to convince him.
