Norn9: Norn + Nonette is a PSP otome game for female players by Otomate and this 2016, it is adapted into a TV anime which will premiere on January 7. The announcement about Norn9 anime premiere date was posted on the official website of the show. It was stated that Norn9 TV anime will premiere on January 7, 2016 at Tokyo MX, and air on Sun TV, BS11, and AT-X channels.
The cast from the game will return to reprise their respective roles in the upcoming anime series. Norn9 is the directorial debut of Takao Abo who previously worked on series like Eureka Seven, Macross Frontier, and Lunar Legend Tsukihime. The anime series is directed at Kinema Citrus and Orange. Serving as the assistant director for the show is Tetsuo Ichimura, while handling the series composition is Natsuko Takahashi. Adapting the original character designs for anime from Teita is Yukari Takeuchi who is also serving as the chief animation director of Norn9 TV anime.
Norn9 TV anime opening theme will be performed by Nagi Yanagi while performing the ending theme is Kaori Oda.
The game was released by Otomate and Idea Factory for PSP way back in 2013. Meanwhile, the PlayStation Vita port of the game called “Norn9: Var Commons” was shipped in Japan last December 2014. A new game in the franchise titled Norn + Nonette Act Tune will be release by Otomate and Idea Factory for PS Vita in 2016.
