A teaser site with a “countdown to the next generation” has been be opened by Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and it features the logo and the silhouettes of characters from the Naruto manga by the author Masashi Kishimoto. In addition, the website’s HTML source includes the keyword “Naruto” on its meta tags.
The countdown featured in the teaser site will end at exactly 3:30 p.m. on December 19 which is also the first day of the Jump Festa convention. Specifically, there will be a Naruto stage event from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. during the Jump Festa convetion.
The main Naruto manga was ended by Kishimoto last November of 2014 after 15 years of serialization. He then wrote the one-volume sequel manga “Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring.” Furthermore, he was also involved in Boruto -Naruto the Movie- film sequel as the chief production supervisor, script writer and character designer.
Though Kishimoto mentioned that he is working on plans for his next manga which is a science-fiction history, fans can’t simply ignore the fact that Naruto has become an anime cult on its own and this might drive Kishimoto to consider writing more about the series featuring the next generation of ninjas from the Hidden Leaf Village.
