The anime adaptation of author Yuu Miyazaki and illustrator okiura‘s The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water (Gakusen Toshi Asterisk) light novel series got a new promotional video last Tuesday. The video features Asterisk War’s opening theme song, “Brand-new World” by Shiena Nishizawa. Aside from the new promo, the second key visual for the anime has been unveiled; it was illustrated by Tetsuya Kawakami, the project’s character designer and animation director.
The anime’s opening theme song will be perform by Shiena Nishizawa while the ending song will be perform by Maaya Sakamoto.
Here’s the plot of The Asterisk War according to Aniplex:
In the previous century, humanity was attacked by an unprecedented disaster… The impact “Invertia.” The whole world was destroyed. However, humans acquired a new potential…”The Genestella.”
The battle-action anime series will premiere in Japan on October 3 on Tokyo MX TV, Animax, and other channels.
