The King of Glory, Ye Xiu is coming back for The King’s Avatar Season 3 (Quanzhi Gaoshou 3) which was first unveiled by Tencent during their 2021 annual conference on August 8 last year. Now, many fans are anxiously waiting despite having so little to no updates these past few months, albeit the official Weibo page of the donghua had been actively posting about events that involve the series. In fact, some special events were held during the birthday of Ye Xiu on May 29, hyping the fans for his upcoming return soon.

The King’s Avatar Season 3 will revolve around The Challengers League Arc from the novel where Ye Xiu together with Team Happy, his grassroot team will compete for the chance to enter the Glory Professional Alliance and the biggest hindrance on their way is the newly relegated team Excellent Era, Ye Xiu’s former and beloved team on which he had quite a bloodbath and had him expelled.
Nonetheless, this chapter of the donghua will highlight Su Mucheng in her most badass scene and I am eagerly excited to watch that as we also get to meet new characters along the way, particularly Wu Chen who had been one of my favs from the novel.
Alright, let’s stop talking about spoilers and get to the point with what this post is all about, I will be sharing updates about The King’s Avatar Season 3 here whenever its production committee will unveiled news about it including promotional videos and trailers, characters PV, and even key visuals.
The King’s Avatar Season 3 Announcement
The previous season has beautifully concluded in December 2020 and if you wish to get a refresher about it, you may want to check my review, The King’s Avatar Season 2: The Preparation to War. It has been a fantastic and inspiring ride how Ye Xiu finds the search for new players that he’ll develop.

Upon the 2nd season finale, many fans are anxiously waiting for updates despite the fact that The King’s Avatar Season 3 is likely to happen because of all the hints that were revealed in Season 2. Then, August came when Tencent Video Animation normally announced and revealed their Chinese anime lineup for the next few months and the upcoming year. This is where The King’s Avatar Season 3 has been announced along with several returning sequels such as A Will Eternal Season 2, Battle Through The Heavens Season 5, and Scum Villain Self-Saving System Season 2 to name a few.
The King’s Avatar is one of the donghua (Chinese anime) that had been in the front of the rising Chinese animation industry. The series has paved the way for its popularity and attracted attention from international viewers in 2017 and 2018. The donghua follows the story of a professional e-sports player who despite all the odds keeps on pushing through his limit and his quest to return back to the peak of Glory.
Synopsis
Widely regarded as a trailblazer and top-tier professional player in the online multiplayer game “Glory,” Xiu Ye is dubbed the “Battle God” for his skills and contributions to the game over the years. However, when forced to retire from the team and leave his gaming career behind, he finds work at a nearby internet café. There, when Glory launches its 10th server, he throws himself in to the game once more using a new character named “Lord Grim.” Xiu Ye’s early achievements on the new server immediately catch the attention of many players, as well as the big guilds, leaving them to wonder about the identity of this exceptional player. However, while he possesses 10 years of experience and in-depth knowledge, starting afresh with neither sponsors nor a team in a game that has changed over the years presents numerous challenges. Along with talented new comrades, Xiu Ye once again dedicates himself to traversing the path to Glory’s summit.
