Summer 2020 Chinese Anime Lineup
The summer anime season is finally here and anime fans like myself are seriously excited to see what the new season had in store for all of us. On my end, I have previously published a post about the summer 2020 anime lineup about Japanese animation and I have tons of giant titles from it listed in my watchlist including the following:
In Chinese anime community, we are also excited for the summer as we’ve got some of the most highly awaited Chinese anime of 2020 set to air this season. Thus, I would like to share some of Chinese anime series and movies from summer 2020 lineup that people shouldn’t miss to add in their watchlist no matter what their preferences are.

Fog Hill of Five Elements (Wu Shan Wu Xing)

Release: July 26, 2020 | Studio: Samsara Animation Studio – One of the most anticipated Chinese anime in recent years and had been in the making for almost 3 years, Fog Hill of Five Elements release date is on July 26 and has been animated by Samsara Animation and co-produced by Nice Boat Animation. Fog Hill of Five Elements or Wu Shan Wu Xing revolves around 5 individuals who had the ability to summon and be possessed by the five elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, and Metal. Each character fight monsters from another dimension. The animation quality is absurdly great, I could compare it with the best of Japanese anime such as Attack on Titan, Violet Evergarden, Demon Slayer, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. You can watch Fog Hill of Five Elements at bilibiliexclusively.

Nonetheless, A Mortal’s Journey to Immortality is one of the most popular xianxia novels by author Wang Yu. Therefore, we can expect an amazing cultivation anime story from it. I wonder though if it could put a competition against the ongoing Stellar Transformation season 2 which is one of the best and real xianxia anime in recent years. A Mortal’s Journey to Immorality can be watched at bilibili once it premieres. The anime has been listed to get 12 episodes in total.
