The announcement for the
live-action series for one of China’s most popular donghua of this decade had
been made since 2017 and ever since we had been treated to occasional surprises
with news and teasers about it. In fact, just 2 days ago, the production team
had dropped a new teaser visual for The King’s Avatar live-action drama
featuring Yang Yan as Ye Xiu and some selected cast members of the show. In
almost 2 years, Tencent had been silent about the release date of The King’s
Avatar live-action series and everybody had been going haywire lately when it
will air despite of releasing promotional images in the past and its official trailer last December 2018.
Now, everybody should mark their
calendar tonight as the highly anticipated Chinese drama will premiere
featuring one of China’s most promising actor – Yang Yang as the Glory’s
Textbook Ye Xiu. Other cast members of the live-action drama are consists of
both veterans and new faces in the Chinese television which offers a refreshing
sight to look at. Though, as far as I’m concern, some people had been
criticizing how the production team will portray the gaming world and we had
been lucky enough to see some shots of it in few promotional images shown below.
What is your opinion about the
gaming world of The King’s Avatar live-drama? In my own opinion, I think it’s
not that bad but nothing spectacular as of now, though I can’t say anything yet
until I have watched the series itself. Furthermore, here are some screenshots
of the show with Yang Yang as Ye Xiu’s in-game character Lord Grim.
A set of promotional images too
had been unveiled featuring the different teams of Glory Professional Alliance

So, what could you say about this
The King’s Avatar live-action so far guys? Although, it’s too early to share
our critical thoughts but it’s always good to know the first impression of the
viewers. On my end, I am not particularly expecting too much but as a fan of
The King’s Avatar novel and donghua, I am having this show in my watchlist no
matter what happened though I think it’ll focus more on the part where Ye Xiu had
returned in the alliance which means it will be ahead a thousand of miles
compared to the anime adaptation which season 2 is coming this 2019 too. Furthermore, The King's Avatar anime adaptation also gets a prequel movie which is slated for release on August 16 and here are some information worth checking out about it:
