New Promo Video for Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Season 2 Unveiled More Drama

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Chinese Anime

A heartfelt commemoration had been shown in the new promotional video for the upcoming Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Season 2 featuring some heartbreaking scenes from the first season and dramatic clips of what is in store for us in the new season this 2019.

Mo Dao Zu Shi or also known as the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation had been listed by our team as the best Chinese anime of 2018 and it is coming back this year for the continuation of its story in the highly anticipated Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Season 2 which is supposed to air this summer by either July or August. Now, just a few more weeks before the 2nd season will be released, a heartfelt promotional video for the popular boys-love cultivation Chinese anime had been unveiled showing a video compilation of some scenes from the first season. It also gives us a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming return of the anime and it only proves that the drama isn’t over yet and a much bigger tragedy is coming which is no longer a secret – the death of Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan.
We also had a glimpse at Wei Wuxian’s childhood as an adopted child of the Jiang Clan household, the siege of Lotus Pier, the young Jin Ling being taken care of Wei Wuxian, and a heavy dosage of Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian moments. At the end of the video, we had seen Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangjie first meeting as children and it simply looks so effing adorable as well as the rest of the video too despite the heartbreaking atmosphere that overwhelming it.
Aside from this promo video, we had been treated to a teaser video last April and the first sneak peek for Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Season 2 last February.
For our readers who are not familiar with anime, here’s the synopsis of its story which I believe could catch the attention of martial arts anime fans.

As the grandmaster who founded the Demonic Sect, Wei Wuxian roamed the world in his wanton ways, hated by millions for the chaos he created. In the end, he was backstabbed by his dearest shidi and killed by powerful clans that combined to overpower him. He incarnates into the body of a lunatic who was abandoned by his clan and is later, unwillingly, taken away by a famous cultivator among the clans—Lan Wangji, his archenemy. This marks the start of a thrilling yet hilarious journey of attacking monsters, solving mysteries, and raising children. From the mutual flirtation along the way, Wei Wuxian slowly realizes that Lan Wangji, a seemingly haughty and indifferent poker-face, holds more feelings for Wei Wuxian than he is letting on.

The anime also place 2nd on our list of the best anime of 2018 just behind My Hero Academia Season 3. It is produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures and animated by G.CMay Animation & Film – the powerhouse Chinese animation studio behind the first season of The King’s Avatar. Meanwhile, the anime is adapted from a popular Chinese novel of the same title written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.
