Fairy Tail is one of today’s most popular mainstream anime series inspired by Hiro Mashima’s manga series with the same name. Different types of wizards fighting for what they believe are the focus of Fairy Tail’s story.
There are tons of powerful and amazing characters in the entire Fairy Tail universe. Some of them are great villains, while some of these strong characters rallied along with the main protagonists on protecting the world, and keeping peace and order. Fairy Tail as the strongest guild in Fiore is also filled with extremely powerful yet weird mages. It is not just a simple guild; it is a family where each of them protects each other in the face of danger. However, they are also competitive against each other that usually lead into hilarious and ridiculous fights.
Fairy Tail has diverse type of wizards with different types of personalities that make them the strongest guild in the anime. Now, Yu Alexius team decided to make this post featuring the 10 strongest members of Fairy Tail. This list is made according to the each character’s raw power, battle experiences, strategic abilities, and immense magical prowess. Nonetheless, this list didn’t include those members who have great potential for improvement but they are listed in the honorable mentions below.
1. Natsu Dragneel is a Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, wherein he is a member of Team Natsu. He is the younger brother of Zeref Dragneel, having originally died 400 years ago, being subsequently revived as his brother’s most powerful Etherious: E.N.D. Natsu is also among the five Dragon Slayers sent to the future from four hundred years past, having an additional purpose in the assistance of the defeat of Acnologia.

2. Gildards Clive is known for being one of the Fairy Tail Guild’sS-Class Mages, its Ace, it’s most famous Mage at one time, and was its Fifth Guild Master. He has that enigmatic aura as a façade but actually a jolly and nasty character once provoked.

3. Laxus Dreyar is an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild. He is the grandson of Fairy Tail’s Guild Master, Makarov Dreyar, and the son of Raven Tail’s Master, Ivan Dreyar. After Fairy Tail’s disbandment, he joined the Blue Pegasus Guild along with the members of the Thunder God Tribe. However, after the guilds reformation, he later left to join Fairy Tail again along with the team.

4. Erza Scarlet is an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, wherein she is a member of Team Natsu. She also served as the guild’s 7th Guild Master during Makarov’s absence in X792.
Known as Titania, she’s one of the popular and powerful members of Fairy Tail. In addition, she’s one of the most excellent swordsmen in the series being able to defeat any opponents that she had faced.

5. Makarov Dreyar is the current guild master of Fairy Tail, also, he’d been the 3rd and 6th guild master respectively. He is one of the most power characters in the series; in fact, he should be the number one in this list. However, we consider some factors on which he landed on the 5th spot on our list. Looking on the progress of each character in the guild, it is no doubt that some of them eventually exceeded Makarov’s raw power in the current chapter of Fairy Tail’s manga. In addition, Makarov’s age is another factor to consider though his wisdom is something to commend with.

6. Gray Fullbuster is a mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, wherein he is a member of Team Natsu. Similar to Natsu, Gray doesn’t show any powerful feature in the beginning of the series instead act as an average character in the story. However, as the story progress he became prominent and eventually become one of the strongest characters in the series after inheriting the Ice Devil Slayer Magic from his father during the Tartarus Arc.

7. Mirajane Strauss is an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, as well as its “drawing card”, and is often a model for the Sorcerer Magazine. She’s not the typical combatant in the guild as she does not fight unless she has no options. Despite of her calm demeanor, Mirajane is an exceptional wizard being able to completely take over into a demon form.

8. Gajeel Redfox is an Iron Dragon Slayer, a member of the Fairy Tail Guild and a former S-Class Mage of Phantom Lord. After Fairy Tail’s disbandment, Gajeel joins the Magic Council and becomes the captain of the Custody Enforcement Unit, but after Avatar is defeated, he returns to Fairy Tail. Originally a Dragon Slayer from four hundred years past, Gajeel was sent to the future to assist in the destruction of Acnologia.

9. Mystogan is a former S-Class Mage of Fairy Tail and the current King of Edolas. He was also considered the most mysterious member of the guild, as he did not show himself, or his face, at all. Although, he didn’t appear in the story after the Edolas arc, there’s no doubt that he’s a force to reckon with. Even the way he use his magical staves is fearful enough to overwhelm his opponents.

10. Juvia Lockser is a Mage of Fairy Tail, formerly being one of the five S-Class Mages of the Phantom Lord Guild. She’s a wizard who mastered the water manipulation and can use it according to her will. She’s a strong mage and the fearsome one when her opponents threaten Gray and makes her angry. She becomes a terrifying attacker whenever she lost control of her temper.
