The dynamic duo of Lan Ge and Fa Hua is coming back for The Land of Miracles Season 2 which had been announced to return in the Winter donghua lineup of 2023. Danmei fans should not have this donghua off their radar as this had been one of the best we can ever have this year for a Chinese BL animation due to its soft bromance antics and exciting youthful adventures to offer.
The Land of Miracles Season 2 Announcement
Shen Lan Qi Yu Wushuang Zhu or The Land of Miracles is one of iQIYI’s donghua lineup this 2022 it first premiered in July this year and aired until October 15, 2022. The 2nd season of the series was announced right after the finale of the 1st season which showed us a rather heartbreaking scene.
Now, the story continues in The Land of Miracles Season 2, and according to its production committee, the series will return in the next winter lineup, and that only means the 1st quarter of 2023 and may also include the later weeks of December 2022.
Here’s a bit of an overview of the donghua, The Land of Miracles is adapted from a novel of the same title by Tang Jia San Shao, the author behind China’s most popular donghua Soul Land and Throne of Seal. The Land of the Miracles is the 4th donghua to be adapted from his novels, aside from the two that I’ve mentioned earlier, the remaining one is The Magic Chef of Fire and Ice.
Synopsis
This story revolves around two teenagers of different identities and different cultural backgrounds – Fa Hua and Lan Ge, who because of a magic weapon “Only Pearl” were connected together to save humanity. The two teenagers have a symbiotic relationship because of the artifact, which makes the two teenagers with very different personalities need to go through a variety of tests together, with that, the relationship between the two sees subtle changes, and they began to understand each other, and gradually the two became as close as siblings. The two teenagers continue to cooperate with each other, trying to find out more mysteries about the “Only Pearl.” But the mysterious power behind the two teenagers also slowly reaches out to the two teenagers. In a matchmaking event, the sky devil clan – Tianmo Yeming disguised herself as a mysterious beauty and said her purpose here is to claim the “Only Pearl.” The two teenagers are guided by the Grand Commander and decide to set out on the road to revenge, but at this time they must quickly train themselves, and both enter the mysterious cultivation with the help of the Pearl. Can they take up the heavy responsibility to fight the upcoming attack of the demons, and can protect the artifact “Only Pearl?”

On February 4, 2022; The Land of Miracles was also adapted into a manhua with Mei Wu as the writer and Chanly-X as the illustrator, and Tang Jia San Shao credited for the original story.
Animation Studio & Release Date
Apparently, The Land of Miracles Season 2 release date had been scheduled on January 14, 2023 after so many speculations from the fans. The announcement was made through the official Weibo page of iQIYI on January 7. The announcement came out with a new key visual and a promotional video.
CG Year returns as the animation studio of the donghua along with iQIYI, Xuanshi Tangmen, and Energy Studio as producers.
