Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front – Babylonia Key Visual |
In this post, I would like to share my top 10 anime fights from FGO Babyloniaand I am eagerly excited for this because there’s just too much to talk about this topic. I know there are various of fight scenes from the anime but I will only include the 10 significant FGO Babylonia fights that really captured my heart and attention. Therefore, I shall start this list of amazing fights from the anime with the exchange of blows between Mash & Ana against the king himself, Gilgamesh. Well, these fights were only among the reasons why FGO Babylonia dominated our Winter 2020 Anime Lineup.
Table of Contents
Gilgamesh vs Mash & Ana vs Ishtar
Here we have the amazing showdown that means a lot to me. I mean, I am huge fan of King Gilgamesh so, when he decided to test the skills of the last master of humanity from Chaldea and fought Mash & Ana, this just gives me some intense shivers. One thing that we should take note though is that Gilgamesh is a demi-human caster this time, instead of being the archer-servant. In this moment, our goddess Ishtar also infiltrated Uruk to greet the arrival of the master of Chaldea in a fight against Mash, Ana, and King Gilgamesh.
Kingu vs Gilgamesh, Fujimaru and Mash
This scene had made me realized just how powerful Kingu is. He easily dominated the combined forces of Fujimaru, Mash, and even King Gilgamesh himself. A clash between two forces with different beliefs but connected by fate.
Kingu vs Quetzalcoatl
Two of the most overwhelming characters from Fate/Grand Order – Babylonia had come face to face in this fight when Fujimaru and crew are attacking’s Gorgon’s lair. This is where Quetzalcoatl had keep Kingu busy in order to allow Fujimaru to infiltrate Gorgon’s lair while also Quetzalcoatl also launching the Axe of Marduk. I must say this is a well-animated fight scene between 2 individuals which almost the same level of strength and pride.
Leonidas & Ushiwakamaru vs Gorgon
The King of Sparta had given us a spectacular fight against Gorgon on which he stood firmly against her petrifying power. Furthermore, the fight was further intensified when Ushiwakamaru gave Gorgon a nice fight with his speed, agility, and great swordsmanship. This is one of the best moments in the earlier episodes of FGO Babylonia, Ushiwakamaru sure is the MVP of that fight.
Fujimaru, Mash & Ishtar vs Ereshkigal
In the 2nd cour of FGO Babylonia, we had seen Gilgamesh descend to underworld, and that’s where Fujimaru together with Ishtar and Mash visited the mistress of Kur (Underworld) at her domain. This has been a funny, sentimental, and action-packed moment with so much drama. We had proven that even gods are also emotionally conflicted in this universe. The rivalry of Ishtar and Ereshkigal was also well-shown and narrated here, with Fujimaru so hard to gained the allegiance of Ereshkigal.
Fujimaru, Mash & Ishtar vs Quetzalcoatl
In order to save Uruk from the fierce foreign goddess, Fujimaru Ritsuka embark on a journey along with Mash and Ishtar to defeat Quetzalcoatl and at the same made allegiance with her. It has been a toughed fight for the Master from Chaldea especially that Quetzalcoatl had been one of the strongest characters in FGO – Babylonia. Quetzalcoatl easily dominated the combined forces of Fujimaru, Mash and even with another goddess which is Ishtar. Good thing is that Fujimaru’s humanity saves them and with his beliefs, ideas and principles, he was able to win the allegiance of Quetzalcoatl.
Fujimaru, Merlin, Mash & Ana vs Gorgon
Kingu Assaulted Tiamat
While I don’t think this is an actual fight, but it’s an all-out assault made by Kingu (Enkidu) on Tiamat. What’s great about this epic scene is the fact that Kingu revolted against his mother Tiamat as he felt betrayed. Furthermore, he finally comes to terms with the fact that he reside in the body of Enkidu, and he also had the memories that Enkidu and Gilgamesh shared. It sure is one of the most dramatic scene in the entire series while Milet’s song “Tell Me” is playing in the background that further intensifies the emotional maelstrom at the moment. We also had a beautiful sight of Enuma Elish, and the Chain of the Heavens at its full might and glory.
Quetzalcoatl Launched Noble Phantasm on Tiamat
Here’s one of the best sakuga moments and intense fights from FGO Babylonia and it is when Quetzalcoatl assaulted Tiamat with her 2 Noble Phantasm consecutively. Her first attacked is when she used Piedra del Sol which incinerated everything in sight including the black mud on which Tiamat walked on as well as the surrounding Lahmu, and the tainted version of Ushiwakamaru and Benkei. The second attacked of Quetzalcoatl is Ultimo Tope Patada which is a direct assault on Tiamat’s protective shield and destroyed her horn. Obviously, this was only one of the scenes that made FGO Babylonia, the best action anime from winter 2020 season.
The Ultimate Battle Against Tiamat (Beast II)
In the climax of FGO Babylonia, the fight to defeat Tiamat who became Beast II had reached its peak. The fate of the whole humanity and the world rest in the hand of a human (Fujimaru Ritsuka) and the allies that he had met along his journey: Mash, Ishtar, Ereshkigal, Merlin, archer-class servant Gilgamesh, and the Old Man in the Mountain. This climactic battle had been a fantastic one and did give justice to all the accumulated excitement and great built up in the prior episodes to lead the whole story into a satisfying denouement. It was a tough battle to defeat Tiamat, and CloverWorks really did put a great effort to almost every fight scenes in FGO Babylonia and that includes this one.
