The second season of Snow White with the Red Hair anime series is set to premiere on January 11, 2016. Now, the first promotional video for the new season features the new opening theme of the anime which is titled “Sono Koe ga Chizu ni Naru” (Your Voice Will Become a Map) by Saori Hayami. The new promo video was posted on the show’s official website last Friday. Hayami also performed “Yasashii Kibō” (Gentle Hope) which is the opening theme of the anime for its first season.
The anime is adapted from Sorata Akiduki’s Snow White with the Red Hair (Akagami no Shirayuki-hime) manga series.
Snow White with the Red Hair season 2 premiere will be on January 11 and will start with Shirayuki being invited by Prince Raji of Tanbarun Kingdom. In addition, new cast members have been announced which will portray new characters in this new season.
Sachi Kokuryu as Kazuki, a mysterious man searching for Shirayuki
Shintarō Asanuma as Itoya, a silent man who travels with Kazuki
Mikako Komatsu as Eugena, the second prince of the Tanbarun Kingdom
Inori Minase as Rona, the princess of the Tanbarun Kingdom
Akiduki’s original manga and the anime revolve around Shirayuki (Saori Hayami), a beautiful girl working as a medicine woman who has red hair, which is very rare in her country. When she is proposed to and chased after by Raji (Jun Fukuyama), the prince of her country, she runs away, only to meet Zen (Ryota Ohsaka), the prince of a neighboring country. Finding respect for the young man, she decides to serve at his side as his court doctor.
The anime is directed by Masahiro Ando at studio BONES. Aside from Hayami, the group eyelis returns to performed “Page~Kimi to Tsuzuru Monogatari” (Page~A Story I Weave with You), the ending theme of the series. The group previously provides the first season’s ending theme song titled “Kizuna ni Nosete” (Placing on Bonds).
