Further details about the upcoming anime film Gekijō-ban Last Exile: Ginyoku no Fam Over the wishes (Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing- the Movie: Over the wishes)will be revealed in the December issue of Gakken’s Animedia magazine on Tuesday – November 10, 2015. The film is a recompilation of the original Last Exile – Fam, The Silver Wing TV anime series. There are 500 shots of newly animated and reshot footages used in the film and some of the dialogue was recorded again. The magazine revealed the Last Exile film release date throughout Japan will be on February 6, 2016.
The film was listed to have one hour and 59 minutes long run from the distributor Tōkȳu Recreation by Eirin, the Film Classification and Rating Committee in Japan. The original anime series premiered in 2011 and it was released by FUNimation Entertainmenton home video with an English dub.

Eirin’s listing describes the film’s story as follows:

The Sky Pirate Fam and Millia (the princess who Fam rescued as her Turan Kingdom faced devastation) wage a battle against the Ades Federation that reduced Turan to ashes, and aim to establish a revived Turan Kingdom.

Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing- takes place two years after the original Last Exile. Humanity has returned to Earth after an exile that lasted generations, and the only nation that remained on Earth during the exile is now waging war on those that have returned. The story follows sky pirates Fam and Giselle, who rescue a princess and join her in saving her kingdom and bringing about peace.
