The episode trailer for Snow White with the Red Hair Original Anime DVD (OAD) was unveiled Warner Brothers and it features the song “Ginsekai” by eyelis, the group behind the main ending song the anime’s first season. Snow White with the Red Hair OAD trailer also previews the date of Shirayuki and Zen with the featured song in the background.
Snow White with the Red Hair OAD adapts three chapters of the original manga but it will not air as part of the ongoing anime series. The OAD is about Shirayuki and Zen’s date in the castle town from the 41st chapter of the manga. The two other chapters includes in the OAD is about the childhood days of Prince Raji, and the chapter that chronicles the first meeting of Zen, Mitsuhide and Kiki.
The same staff and cast from the ongoing Snow White with the Red Hair anime series is back for the OAD reprising their respective roles and tasks. The OAD will be directed by Masahiro Ando at the studio BONES.
Snow White with the Red Hair Original Story:
Akiduki’s original manga and the anime revolve around Shirayuki (Saori Hayami), a beautiful girl working as a medicine woman who has red hair, which is very rare in her country. When she is proposed and chased after by Raji (Jun Fukuyama), the prince of her country, she runs away, only to meet Zen (Ryota Ohsaka), the prince of a neighboring country. Finding respect for the young man, she decides to serve at his side as his court doctor.
The first half of the anime ended last September, Snow White with the Red Hair Season 2 will premiere in January of 2016.
