The voice actress Saori Hayami who star as Shirayuki in the anime series Snow White with the Red Hair (Akagami no Shirayuki-hime) will perform the second opening theme of the series.
The title and video for the new opening theme is not revealed yet, but for those who didn’t know, Hayami was the singer of the series first opening theme song “Yasashii Kibō” (Gentle Hope). She also performed the theme songs for other anime such as Tsukimonogatari, Oreimo, and Our Home’s Fox Deity.
Snow White with the Red Hair Season 2 will premiere in January 2016. The first season of the premiered last July and run until September 2015.
The anime series is based from Akiduki’s manga series Akagami no Shirayuki-hime.
Akiduki’s original manga and the anime revolve around Shirayuki, a beautiful girl working as a medicine woman who has red hair, which is very rare in her country. When she is proposed to and chased after by Raji, the prince of her country, she runs away, only to meet Zen, the prince of a neighboring country. Finding respect for the young man, she decides to serve at his side as his court doctor.
Snow White with the Red Hair is directed by Masahiro Ando at studio BONES.
