The new television anime series from the Code Geass director, Goro Taniguchi called Active Raid: Kidō Kyōshūshitsu Dai-Hakkei (Active Raid: Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit) unveiled a new teaser and visual on its official website last Saturday. The tagline on the website reads, “Jōshiki Bye-Bye!” (Bye-Bye, Common Sense!).
The story is set in a part of Tokyo that has descended into a quagmire. It follows the Eighth Unit of the Fifth Special Public Security Section’s Third Mobile Assault Division — popularly called “The Eighth” — who don powered armor “Willware” exoskeletons to counter the rise in crime.
Serving as the chief director of Active Raid anime series is Goro Taniguchi with Noriaki Akitaya directing the anime. Writing the show’s scripts is Naruhisa Arakawa while the artist and manga creator Shun Saeki is providing the original character designs. Asako Nishida is the designing the characters for animation with Kotaro Nakagawa composing the music for the series. Animating the series is Production IMS with Orange producing the 3D CG.
Active Raid anime series will premiere on Tokyo MX and several TV stations on January of 2016 and its official website will be launched formally on October 22.
