It was announced last Tuesday that the upcoming anime adaptation of
Gamon Sakura’s
Ajin – Demi-Human manga series will be composed of 13 episodes.
Ajin – Demi-Human anime series will premiere on January 2016 at several TV stations including
MBS, TBS and
CBC in Japan.
The anime series will go deeper in the story and provide details information about the world where the story was set. Aside from the TV series, Ajin – Demi-Human is slated for a trilogy film with the first film subtitled “Shōdō” (Impulse) opening in Japanese theaters this November. The film and the anime series share the same staffs as well as cast.
Ajin – Demi-Human Storyline:
In the manga’s story, an immortal first appeared on an African battlefield 17 years ago. Later, rare, unknown new immortal lifeforms began appearing among humans, and they became known as “Ajin” (demi-humans). Just before summer vacation, a Japanese high school student named Kei Nagai is instantly killed in a traffic accident on his way home from school. However, he is revived, and a price is placed on his head. Thus begins a boy’s life on the run from all of humankind.
