Ajin – Demi-Human Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation

A television anime series for Gamon Sakurai’s Ajin – Demi-Human manga has been green-lit, according to the official website of the anime film trilogy Ajin. The anime series will premiere in January of 2016 on MBS, TBS and CBC channels in Japan while it will be available too for online streaming on Netflix worldwide.

The anime will go deeper on the story and also provide further details about the world where the story takes place. Ajin anime series will have the same staff and cast from the upcoming Ajin films.

Serving as the chief director of Ajin anime series is Hiroyuki Seshita with Hiroaki Ando directing the films at POLYGON PICTURES. Supervising the scripts is Hiroshi Seko and Yuki Moriyama is the character designer together with Yuugo Kanno composing the music.

Ajin Original Storyline:

In the manga’s story, an immortal first appeared on an African battlefield 17 years ago. Later, rare, unknown new immortal lifeforms began appearing among humans, and they became known as “Ajin” (demi-humans). Just before summer vacation, a Japanese high school student named Kei Nagai is instantly killed in a traffic accident on his way home from school. However, he is revived, and a price is placed on his head. Thus begins a boy’s life on the run from all of humankind.
